Your Mac knows
when you've walked away.
Blunlock locks your Mac the moment you step away from your desk, and unlocks it the moment you sit back down. No Apple Watch. No password typing. Just your iPhone in your pocket.
One-time. Yours forever. 1 year of updates included. 14-day money-back.

No clicks. No keystrokes. No Watch.
Setup takes 90 seconds.
Then you forget it exists.
1. Pair your iPhone
Open Blunlock, scan the QR code with your phone. Done in 30 seconds.
2. Teach it near and far
Stand at your desk, tap I'm near. Step away, tap I'm far. That's the calibration.
3. Forget it exists
Walk away — screen locks. Walk back — it's open and waiting. No nags, no notifications, ~0% battery.
One iPhone.
Every Mac you own.
MacBook on the couch. iMac at the desk. Mac mini in the studio. Your phone is the one key that opens them all.
Seamless roaming
MacBook in the kitchen, iMac upstairs. Whichever one you're near is the one that wakes. The others lock behind you.
Universal pairing
Pair your iPhone once. It works with every Mac you sign into — no re-calibration when you switch.
Calibrated per room
Cafe calibration is different from your home office. Blunlock remembers both and switches automatically.
Calendar-aware
Mac won't lock mid-Zoom even if you stretch out of range. Meetings stay open. Coffee runs lock you out.
Deploying Blunlock at your company?
Team licensing, MDM-deployable packages (Jamf, Kandji, Intune), centralized policy, and audit logs for organizations of 5+ seats.
Built for people who code where the world can see their screen.
Blunlock started in a coffee shop. Someone was typing a Mac password 30 times a day every time they got up for a refill — and they didn’t wear an Apple Watch. So we built this for ourselves, and it turned out a lot of other people needed the same thing.
These are the rules we built it by.
Nothing leaves your Mac.
No telemetry. No analytics. No cloud sync of anything personal. Your password lives in macOS Keychain — the same place Safari keeps yours.
No nag screens. Ever.
You bought it, it works. No upsells in the menu bar. No "Pro" popups. No interruption of your day.
No subscription.
Pay once. Updates for a year. After that the app keeps working forever — renew updates only if you want new features.
Built on Apple's own crypto.
Blunlock uses macOS Keychain Services and CoreBluetooth — no custom cryptography, no homebrew security, no third-party SDKs handling your password.
Pay once. App yours forever.
One price. Includes 1 year of new features and updates. After that, your app keeps working forever — renew updates anytime for $14/year, totally optional.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — if you own and wear an Apple Watch. Two catches: it only unlocks (it doesn't lock when you walk away), and the ~65-75% of Mac users without a Watch get nothing. Blunlock works without a $400 Watch, locks and unlocks, and lets you calibrate exactly how close 'near' and 'far' are.
Yes — encrypted in the macOS Keychain, the same place Safari stores your passwords. It never leaves your Mac. We never see it. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, ever.
To type your password for you when you sit back down. That's the only reason. We don't read your screen, log your keystrokes, or send anything anywhere. The permission is required by macOS for any app that simulates keyboard input.
No. Blunlock uses passive Bluetooth Low Energy scanning — the same protocol your Mac already uses to detect your AirPods. Real-world impact is under 1% per day on both your iPhone and Mac.
Pair the same iPhone to as many Macs as your license covers — $19 (1 Mac), $39 Family (3 Macs), or $99 Team (10 Macs). Whichever Mac you walk up to is the one that wakes.
Not yet — Blunlock currently supports iPhones only. Android support is on the roadmap. Email us if you'd like to be notified when it ships.
